Procedure for reviewing articles

All scientific articles submitted to the editorial Board of the scientific Journal must be sent for review.

Peer review is a procedure for scientists and specialists to review scientific articles submitted for publication in the Journal, in order to make sure that the authors comply with the standards adopted in science in General, and in the relevant topic of the article in the scientific field, in particular.

The review is conducted confidentially.

Review of articles submitted for publication in the Bulletin of the Karaganda state industrial University is carried out in two stages: external and internal.

External review is carried out by a specialist of the corresponding profile, who has a scientific degree and is a recognized expert on the subject of peer-reviewed materials. Reviewers ‘ signatures on reviews must be certified at their place of work in accordance with the established procedure.

Internal reviewers can be employees of departments (who have a PhD or doctor of science degree). The signature is certified by the University Or organization where the author studies or works.

Members of the editorial Board of the Bulletin of the Karaganda state industrial University cannot be reviewers.

Articles that have not been reviewed are not allowed to be published in the Journal.

Materials of articles that require revision based on the results of the review are sent to the authors for further work.

The editorial Board, if necessary, checks the originality of the manuscript for the use of borrowed material without reference to the author and the source of the borrowing. The originality of the text must be at least 50% for the Humanities, and 70% for technical subjects.   In some cases, this indicator may be revised by the editorial Board in order to avoid a formal assessment of the value of the manuscript under consideration.

Not allowed for publication in the Journal:

  • articles containing previously published material;
  • articles issued without following the rules of registration of articles;
  • articles whose authors refuse to make technical improvements to the articles;
  • articles whose authors do not comply with the reviewer’s constructive comments.

Review is carried out within 15 calendar days from the date of receipt of the article to be reviewed.

Materials of articles rejected by the editorial Board based on the results of the review are not returned to the authors.

Manuscripts of articles approved by the editorial Board are sent to the Executive Secretary for the formation of the issue.

Reviews of manuscripts are stored for 3 years.
