On March 14, Kazakhstan held a single information hour on fighting corruption. More than two hundred students of Karaganda State Industrial University took part in the action.

In order to form an anti-corruption culture in the society at 11.00 on the time of Astana, an information hour was held at the university on the theme ” 20th anniversary of the formation of the law against corruption”. M. Salpenova, Director of the Department for Educational Work and Youth Policy of KSIU, and M. Soltan, the lecturer of the Department of “HK and SHD”, informed the audience about the importance of preventing and combating corruption. After that, students of first course Maksat Turimov, Aknur Khishat and Miramgul Abdulova, who recently won the university essay contest “We are against corruption,” came forward with their work.

The students expressed their opinions on the effectiveness of measures taken to combat corruption, noted the importance of measures taken to prevent corruption, suggested starting such preventive work from the kindergarten, and introducing to the corrupt officials tougher measures of responsibility. There were opinions that every Kazakh should begin, first of all, with himself. If you do not under any circumstances take and do not give bribes, then in the course of time this harmful phenomenon will be eradicated in society.
