Technology Commercialization Office

The main purpose of TCO is the commercialization of the results of scientific and technical activities, the introduction and implementation of innovative technologies, developments, intellectual property and products (goods, works and services), including the creation on their basis and the implementation of start-up companies.

Objectives:

1). Search and evaluation of the technologies for commercialization.

2). Marketing researches.

3). Providing methodological support to scientists in the field of technology commercialization.

4). Develop the strategies of Technology Commercialization.

5). Carrying out information activities in the field of promotion of the idea of commercialization at the University of Technology.

6). Organization and monitoring of the process for developing a project concept justification.

7). Support of innovative projects for further commercialization.

Main functions:

1). Analysis of information about scientific developments of the university, identification the inventions and technologies that have the commercial potential – business ideas.

2). Management of the process of commercialization of business ideas, assistance in defining the best way to market.

3). Identification and promotion of business ideas in the field of research services.

4). Technical consulting, analytical services; cooperation with third-party experts in all aspects of commercialization.

5). Conducting of preliminary marketing researches to support the potential projects.

6). Definition and establishment of relationships with potential business partners.

7). Identification and search for sources of financing for the commercialization of selected developments.

8). Presentation of developments at competitions, exhibitions etc.

9). Providing the consulting services in the field of intellectual property protection.

10). Preparation and support of innovational projects related to the creation of new enterprise (participation of the university and its staff as founders, the transition of the employees to work in a newly created enterprise, registration of contractual relations between the university and a new enterprise, advising in the development of a business project, assistance in finding capital sources).

11). The implementation of the search and analysis of information on technological demands in market sectors related to the scientific activities of the university staff.
