HISTORY

The faculty “metallurgy and mechanical engineering” was reorganized from the faculty “metallurgy and construction”in 2017. Training of specialists is conducted in accordance with the credit system of training. In 2010-2012, the Dean of the faculty was PhD, associate Professor Tungusov B. T. From January 2013. Dean of the faculty is Ph. D. of Smiles S. A., since September 2014, Dean was associate Professor, Ph. D. Jamalova G. G., and from September 2017, the faculty headed by associate Professor, Ph. D. K. Musin

The faculty on September 1, 2017 includes four departments:

  • Department of Metallurgy and materials science (head. CFR. – d.s Professor Nurumgaliev A. K.);
  • chair “processing of materials by pressure” (head. CFR. – Ph. D., Professor Krivtsova O. N..);
  • Department of “natural Sciences” (head. CFR. – K, f. -Ph. D. associate Professor Huangbai E.);
  • chair “Chemical technology and ecology” (head. СhTE. –candidate of chemical sciences, associate professor Kabieva S.)

Three chairs are producing.

The faculty currently employs a highly qualified teaching staff, including 4 doctors of Sciences and 25 candidates of Sciences and 5 PhDs. 25 masters of science.

Students study both subjects on a profile of the chosen specialty, and all-professional, naturally-scientific and social and humanitarian character. Professional skills on a specialty students acquire during practical training at the enterprises of the city and the Republic. There is an opportunity to study in other Universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan and abroad (USA, Spain, Czech Republic, Poland, Bulgaria, Germany, etc.) under the program of academic mobility. Foreign specialists are invited to teach students.
