KSIU prepares specialists on 18 specialties of a bachelor degree, 8 specialties of a magistracy and the 2 specialties of doctoral studies. From them in the “Social Sciences, Economy and Business” direction – 4 specialties, “Technical science and technologies” – 13 specialties. Current academic year in KSIU preparation in the “Assessment” relating to the Services direction is begun.

Annually for efficiency and systemacity increase in the solution of problems of employment in university there takes place fair of vacancies of workplaces on which graduates directly meet employers. At fairs of vacancies the companies of different fields of activity take part. The analysis of all offers helps to create idea of a situation on a labor market and to choose in it the optimum direction. As shows the experiment, many companies offer vacancies not only for beginning competitors of a profession who have no experience, but also a number of vacancies for the qualified experts.

On our portal employers can place the demand for practical training of students, vacancy of the company for involvement of graduates – young perspective specialists and employment of students in non-study time.

The Karaganda state industrial university saved up considerable experience of training of highly qualified specialists with participation of employers and the most close contact on this matter kept with JSC Arselormittal Temirtau.

The JSC Arselormittal Temirtau company annually allocates 20 grants to students of university. 10 grants are got by students of day form of education, whose parents work in the companies, and ten grants students of evening form of education who work on JSC Arselormittal Temirtau. Indispensable condition of receiving a grant is that students have to study only on “4” and “5”.

Since 2010 the JSC Arselormittal Temirtau company besides grants began grant allocation for students of a third year according to the Talented Youth program. Within this program students of a third year are trained according to additional programs, including professional English, and during summer work practice the company employs them on workplaces. On the end of work practice students pass a qualification examination and receive working specialty. On the fourth year students continue training according to additional programs. These students as carry out final work by request of the enterprise on subject of existing technological problems in that shop where they passed work practice. As there is a wish to note that during all term of training according to the Talented Youth program students monthly get a grant from the company of 10 thousand tenges. At present 20 students of university get a grant from the JSC Arselormittal Temirtau company. Besides, annual grants allocate Temirtau Electric Steelworks LLP;, JSC Kartsement, REN-MILK LLP, Kazakhmys LLP, Remeсology LLP, etc.

Such participation of the enterprises in training of specialists increases motivation of students to knowledge acquisition, acquisition of skills and abilities.

The employment analysis in 5 years shows that within the first year after obtaining the diploma about the higher education 85-90% of graduates find a job. By the end of the second year practically all have work. The graduates who have got an education on specialties of the technical direction, such as “Metallurgy”, “Automation and management”, “Power industry”, “Mechanical engineering”, “Technological machines and the equipment” are the most demanded. For this period on JSC Arselormittal Temirtau it was accepted our 230 graduates. Also those who graduated from higher education institution on the specialties “Civil engineering” and “Power system” are in great demand. Graduates of these specialties find a job quicker. A little more time is required to graduates of economic specialties. It speaks not so much in lack of workplaces, how many in psychology of graduates of these specialties whom conditions of employers and an offered salary not always arrange. However and they by the end of the first year after the termination of university find application for the received knowledge, finding a job in various banks, trade enterprises and in economic and financial services of the enterprises of small and private business.

Many graduates of KSIU after the finishing university arrive in a magistracy and about 50% of graduates of a magistracy begin the scientific and pedagogical activity at native university.
