The history of the chair of Kazakh, Russian, foreign language

The history of the chair of kazakh, russian, foreign language begins in 1961, this chair has been reconstructed several times before. In 1963, when the HTEU began its work a veteran of the Great War II Dyadyukova I. I. was appointed as a head of the chair Foreign Languages. From 1969 to 1976 the chair was managed by: Zaleski Iosif Iosifovich, Mukanova Tatiana Nikolaevna, Stanovich Olga Nikolaevna, Sadykov Medelkhan Sadykovich. English, French, German and Russian languages were taught by chair.

When the Republic of Kazakhstan received Independence and the status of the state language changed and in the universities begun to study Kazakh language. In this regard, the chair was named “Kazakh and Russian language” (head of the chair Makpal Zholdasovna Aitbayeva) and the chair “Foreign languages” (head of the chair Lyudmila Sergeevna Cheremnykh) thus divided into two chairs.

At the end of the 90-th due to the decrease in the number of students, the two chairs joined together and in 1997-2001 “Kazakh, Russian and Foreign Languages ​​Chair” started its work. As the head of the chair worked  candidate of pedagogical sciences, assistant professor Baibusanova Zeynep Esbosynovna. In 2001-2011 the senior teacher Baimbetova Mayra Konakovna was a head of the chair. According to the decreasing in applicants entering the higher educational institutions, in 2011-2012 academic year the chair joined with the chair of Philosophy and Social and Human Sciences. The Chair begun called General Education disciplines and head was appointed Ph.D. in political sciences O. N. Gumenchuk. Subsequently, this chair was named the “History of Kazakhstan and general educational disciplines”, from academic year 2014-2015 until september 2017, the head of the chair was Master of Pedagogical Sciences, senior teacher Khamitov Sapar Bagdatovich.

According to the social project “Youth Industry” Mangіlіk El”, due to students from the southern regions of the country received under the program “Serpin” and as the demographic situation improved due to the growth in the number of students, due to the growing number of teachers, leaving the chair “History of Kazakhstan and general educational disciplines”, on the order of the rector, the chair started to work independently as a chair of “Kazakh, Russian and foreign language”. Acting as the head of the chair was appointed Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor Abdikarim Nurziya Abdikarimovna.

Along with the above-mentioned heads of the chair, such experienced teachers worked as: Neyezhkasha Vladimir Ilyich, Musina Saule Amenovna, Prikhodko Valentina, Amanzholova Gulya Kalykovna, Sadykova Sharbat Tulegenovna, Karasik Anna Leontevna, Romanova Tamara Ivanovna, Poplavskaya Galina Antonovna, Esaulenko Albina Kirillovna, Zhunusova Ainagul Kuanovna, Shakirzhan Saule Nurkanovna, Asanova Karlyshash Abdualinovna, etc.

Content of chair at present time: Candidates of Philology N. A. Abdikarim, Sh. A.Kenen, Masters of Humanitarian Sciences Zh. K. Kapashev, G. B. Omarova, A. B. Mukatay and masters of pedagogical sciences A. K. Zhunusov, A. A. Babashaikova, S.B. Khamitov, Master of Technical Sciences A. A. Smailova,  M. Sc. Salpionova, a specialist in Russian philology, A. T. Myrzakhanov. Teachers D. Zh. Ybrai, N. B. Kan, Yu. F. Sharipova are studying for master’s degree in the Russian Federation and in KarSU named E. A. Buketov.

The chair acquired the English language training kit Reward, created in England and released by the Macmillan publishing house, which includes a book for the teacher, a video-practical book, a package of handouts. The acquired course provides training for all types of speech activity: speaking, writing, listening, grammar, vocabulary. Working with audio and video, increases students’ speech skills in accordance with the orthoepic norms. In the 2002-2003 academic year, the “Tell memore” program was studied, and in the academic year 2003-2004 were studied the “Intensive English language courses”, “English for Communication”. Electronic textbooks for studying the Kazakh language, regulates students’ knowledge in school and college, helps improve language skills and enhances the effectiveness of language learning. In recent years, on all disciplines read at the chair, innovative electronic textbooks have been prepared that can be used in specially equipped computer classes, which gives a positive solution to the problems of using advanced technologies in the process of teaching the language disciplines.

The teachers of the chair constantly improve their qualifications in scientific research and methodical work, publish their results in scientific journals of the near and far abroad, take part in the International theoretical and methodological conferences. At the chair under the direction of Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor  Sh. A. Kenen conducts a state budget research work on the topic: «Қазақстан Республикасының көптілділік жағдайында оқу-тәрбие үдерісін қарқындату мәселесі», “Issues of intensification of the educational process in the conditions of multilingualism in the Republic of Kazakhstan”. In the framework of this topic, the teachers organized inter-cafeteria and city seminars, actively participate in international online seminars. In 2016-2017 academic year, five teachers (N. A. Abdikarim, D. Zh. Ybray, N. B. Kan, K. A. Asanova, S. A. Khamitova) participated in the 72nd hour of work in the International Scientific-methodical online seminar, organized by the chair of “Kazakh linguistics” named after L. N. Gumilyov on the theme “Sphere of the native language: questions of research, training” were awarded with certificates.

At the university, teachers of the chair with the aim of integrating effective education and upbringing prepare students for participating in events held in the region and in the city, actively giving directions. The student of the group EE-15k Esmakhanov Aydin (associate professor N. A. Abdikarim, teacher  D. Zh. Ybray) participating in the regional contest “Tildaryn” among the youth speaking three languages took the first prize place. To the 80th anniversary of the poet Aibergenov Tolegen with the support of the city information newspaper “Kurysh Kala kz”, with the participation of the daughters of akyn and urban akyns (associate professor N. A.  Abdikarim, senior lecturer Zh. K. Kapasheva) organized and held a high level literary and musical evening of poetry entitled «Сағыныштардың керуеніндегі саз қандай!». And also a memorandum was signed with the historical and cultural center of our city of the First President. Since the beginning of the 2016-2017 academic year, the club “Speaking clubkz” has started its work and gathered students wishing to learn three languages.

Teachers of the chair closely cooperate with the Chair of Languages, with the L. N. Gumilev Eurasian National University, Karaganda State Technical University, Karaganda Technical University, Karaganda University “Bolashak”. The scientists of these universities Zhakupova Zh. A., Buketova N. I., Adilova A. S., Tursynova M. A., Aitbaeva B. M., Utebaev I. S. professors of the chair expressed their critical opinion about educational and methodical publications, scientific articles, help in the work of the chair from a theoretical and practical point of view.

 

 

The chair “History of Kazakhstan and general education disciplines” was formed in 2011 by the order of the rector from 01-05 / 20 dated 01.09.2011.

There are three sections in the structure of the chair:

  • Section “Philosophy and social and human sciences”;
  • Section “Kazakh, Russian and foreign languages”;
  • Section “Physical education”.

Earlier sections were separate chairs and represented structural divisions of the university with its history, traditions and directions of educational, methodical and scientific activity.

For more than 30 years of the chair’s functioning about twenty people have defended dissertations for the degree of candidate of science. The chair has become a school of attaining professional maturity for many well-known people in the republic and abroad. Among them – the scholar, the author of textbooks of the history of Kazakhstan Abdakimov Abdizhapar Abdakimovich, Shitova Valentina was awarded with the medal “For labor difference”, pro-rector on educational work of the Ulyanovsk branch of the Moscow State University named after M. V. Lomonosov Petukhov Valery Borisovich, scientists Mukhina Zinara Zievna, Saponova Lyudmila Nikolaevna, Svetlovsky Alexey Timofeevich, Kemelbaeva Gulzayra Mahmudovna. Candidates of philosophical sciences Nigmetzhanov Kuanyshgali Ganimbekovich, Povalyashko Galina Nikolaevna, candidate of historical sciences Sherpalev Leonid Ivanovich, senior lecturers Ivanova Nina Nikolaevna, Sobolevskaya Olga Pavlovna, Shinkarenko Galina Stepanovna, Meshalkina Olga Nikolaevna, Zikirina Gulnara Dzharasovna, Grachev Gennady Borisovich, etc. Many of them currently live and work in other cities of the republic and CIS countries. The current staff of the chair maintains friendly and creative relations with them.

 

SECTION OF “KAZAKH, RUSSIAN AND FOREIGN LANGUAGES”

During its existence as an independent chair it has also been repeatedly reformed and reorganized. In the year of the establishment of the HTEU at KMK the chair “Foreign languages” was established here. From 1963 to 1976 the chair was run by Zaleski Iosif Iosifovich, Mukanova Tatyana Nikolaevna, Stanovich Olga Nikolaevna, Sadykov Medelkhan Sadykovich. English, German, French and Russian were taught by chair.

In 1992 in the universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan the teaching of the Kazakh language was introduced. In this regard, the chair was divided into the chair of Kazakh and Russian languages (head of the chair Aitbaeva M. Zh.) and the Chair of Foreign Languages (head of the chair Cheremnykh L. S.).

In the 90s, the laboratory of intensive teaching of foreign languages was established on the basis of the chair. Classes were conducted by young teachers Likhoperskaya О. P. and Derevyanko О. P.

In 1997 the two chairs were again joined – the chair of Kazakh, Russian and foreign languages. In 2001 the chair was head by the candidate of pedagogical sciences Baibusanova Zeynep Esbosynovna. From 2001 to 2011, the duties of the head of the chair were performed by Maima Konambovna Baimbetova.

For many years such experienced teachers as Neyezhkasha Vladimir Ilich, Musina Saule Amenovna, Prikhodko Valentina Nikolaevna, Amanzholova Gulya Kalykovna worked at the chair. (now Doctor of Philology, lives and works in Moscow), Sadikova Sharbat Tulegenovna, Karasik Anna Leontievna and many others.

 

SECTION “PHYSICAL EDUCATION”

As an independent chair was established in 1964. The first head of the chair was Teryaki Yury Ivanovich. From 1976 to 1984, the chair was head by Pak Viktor Nikolayevich, from 1984 to 2000 – Tokarev Vladimir Alekseevich. Since 2000, the chair was head by Bobrovskaya Tatyana Nikolaevna.

At different times the chair was head the honored trainer of Kazakhstan in judo and sambo, Master of Sports of the USSR Filatov Sergey Alexandrovich, honored Master of Sports, twenty-times world power lifting champion Alexey Sivokon, Master of Sports of International Class in rowing Irina Dmitrieva.

A great contribution to the development and establishment of the chair was made by such teachers as Maksimenko Olga Andreevna, coach of the volleyball team Baryshnikov Vladimir Ivanovich, Svetlana Demkina, coaches of the basketball team Anatoly Stepanovich Badloo and Karachanskaya Lyudmila Fedorovna, Abishev Kaiyr Makashevich, Maletina Natalia Grigoryevna, Dnekeshev Sagidulla Dnekeshevich, Lukashov Sergey Nikolaevich, Lukashova Tatyana Anatolevna, Penchukov Petr Nikolaevich, Zhunisbekov Zamanbek Sultanovich, Dorofeeva Viktoria Viktorovna, Pleskin Elena Nikolaevna and many others.
