ORDER OF ADMISSION TO KSIU
- The formation of the contingent of doctoral students of KSIU is carried out by placing the state educational
order for the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel, as well as tuition fees at their own expense of citizens and other sources.
- To the citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the state shall ensure the granting of the right to receive on a competitive basis in accordance with the state educational order of free education, if they receive education at this level for the first time.
- Doctoral studies accept persons with a master’s degree.
- Admission to the KSIU doctoral program is carried out on a competitive basis based on the results of entrance exams.
Acceptance of applications for doctoral studies is held from July 3 to July 31.
Entrance examinations for doctoral studies are held from 10 to 20 August, enrollment – until 25 August.
- Persons entering the doctoral program submit the following documents to the admission committee of KGIU:
1) an application addressed to the head of the organization, which indicates the city where the entrance examination in a foreign language will be taken;
2) a copy of the document on higher education;
3) a copy of the international certificate of taking a test in a foreign language (if available):
English: Foreign Language Institutional Testing Program (TOEFL ITP – at least 460 points), Internet-based Test (TOEFL IBT, threshold score – at least 87), ( TOEFL threshold score –
not less than 560 points), International English Language Tests System (IELTS, threshold score – not less than 6.0);
German: Deutsche Sprachprufung fur den Hochschulzugang (DSH, Niveau C1 / Level C1), TestDaF-Prufung (Niveau C1 / Level C1);
French: Test de Franzais International ™ (TFI – not lower than B1 level in reading and listening sections), Diplome d’Etudes en Langue française (DELF, level B2), Diplome Approfondi de Langue française (DALF, level C1), Test de connaissance du français (TCF – not – not
less than 400 points.
4) personal record sheet for personnel records and a document confirming labor activity (for persons having work experience);
5) 6 photographs of size 3 × 4;
6) medical certificate with a photo of fluorography;
7) a copy of the identity card;
8) a list of scientific and methodological works (if available).
Together with copies of the documents specified in this paragraph, their originals are provided for verification. After the reconciliation, the originals are returned.
Admission to KSIU
- Admission to the doctoral program KSIU carried out until August 25.
- Admission to the doctoral KSIU carried out on the basis of entrance exams:
scientific and pedagogical doctoral studies: in a foreign language at least 50 points and in the specialty – at least 50 points;
- For training on the state educational order are credited to those who scored the highest points in the amount of entrance examinations in a foreign language and in the specialty:
1) for scientific and pedagogical doctoral studies – not less than 150 points.
In the case of the same indicators of competitive points, the right of priority for enrollment is given to those who have the highest mark in the specialty, in the case of the same indicators of the entrance examination in the specialty, the priority right is given to persons with the highest mark in a foreign language. Then the scientific achievements are taken into account, corresponding to the profile of the chosen specialty: scientific publications, including in rating scientific journals; certificates of scientific development; certificates of awarding scientific scholarships, grants; certificates / diplomas for participation in scientific conferences and competitions.
After enrollment (during September), doctoral students submit a list of pre-requisite disciplines necessary for mastering the relevant professional training programs of the KSIU doctoral program:
