On December 19, 2018 undergraduates of Karaganda State Industrial University took part in a tele-lecture of the President of the Russian Geological Society, Ph.D., Ph.D., Professor Viktor Orlov on the topic: “On the role of the state and business in geological study of the subsoil “. Representatives of 38 higher and secondary educational institutions from the Russian Federation and UIS countries became online students.
The professor began his lecture with a demonstration of a geological map of Russia and focused the attention of the teleconference participants on the fact that today there are a lot of white spots in the Far East and the Far North. And young geologists face an extremely ambitious task to reduce their number.
The key goal of the event was, of course, the opportunity to tell students and young professionals about the peculiarities of government and business participation in the geological study of the subsoil.
During the teleconference, participants were able to get a lot of new, interesting and useful information for the future professional development.
After the end of the lecture, the teleconference participants had the opportunity to ask the scientist their questions.
Recall that in October of this year, students of our university have already taken part in the teleconference lecture of Academician RAS Erik Mikhailovich Galimov on the subject “Earth-Moon System”, which was held at the Interuniversity Academic Center of Navigation.
